bill burke says: July 4, 2014 at 3:31 pm Newsflash! We live in a world of many serious imperfections, not the least of which is the imperfection of our own human natures. Conservatives are to blame for the bulk of the problem I mentioned (which, by the way, dovetails with your other points, especially your first one about attitudes), in all fairness and accuracy

http://www.fledglingbrewer.com/equipment/4-reasons-im-not-getting-a-conical/
Since I brew often, I now have an inventory of 10 glass carboys that all need cleaning and sanitizing at one point or another, not to mention all of the racking and testing equipment every time I want a sample or to dry hop, whereas 3 nice conicals would have done the job and adding a fermentation chamber in the 2nd garage, no more hauling and lifting. Granted you will save money over time as compared to glass, especially if you have a family and kids, the fragility of those things makes the cost over 10 years (assuming you are a serious brewer) add up over the years

ISIS: Inside the Army of Terror: Michael Weiss, Hassan Hassan: 9781941393574: Amazon.com: Books
http://www.amazon.com/ISIS-Inside-Terror-Michael-Weiss/dp/1941393578
Weiss and Hassan gave an overview how it was possible for almost completely destroyed Iraqi extremists to evolve in tempting company to which many people brought up in the West rushed to join, furthermore acting as role models while demonstrating their brutality. The overall image that was presented by the book is certainly not optimistic, proving how serious danger ISIS actually is, something that threatens everything that Western civilization is. (The section on the Syrian war is downright Byzantine.) The reason I dropped one star is that this is really a piece of journalism, such as a multi-part New Yorker article, published separately with covers and rushed to print to meet a current need. The book is filled with names of people and organizations which unless you are a Middle East specialist don't easily register with Americans

When a person says they saw a UFO they are crazy but if a person claims to see a vision of mary, all of the sudden they are wonders of the catholic church. If you have never had a deeply committed relationship with God and hold to that assertion, then, you are like my three year old daughter who says she hates spinach and yet has never tasted it
