Admittedly, male or female, romance or friendship, much of this is available so long as you get her affection high enough, but it seems far more poignant when she - the cynical witch of the wilds who in no uncertain terms called love 'a weakness' - ultimately yields the idealistic battle and acknowledges her own feelings by addressing the warden as 'my love'. None of the DA2 romances change the plot of course, but Isabela and Anders' do change the flavour of the conflicts that they're involved in, so I'd rank them about equally and probably just below Morrigan overall
Watching as the blight encroached, wiping out settlements across the world map created an atmosphere of tension and dread that obviously felt at odds with the traditional RPG opportunity to meander on an apparently infinite basis. DA:O was good, but as another reviewer said, it was like Bioware put thousands of hours into making a really interesting world, and then forgot they made it and put a stock plot overtop of it. It showed her as human rather than a guard-bot, and (I think) implied that one of the reasons the character was a bit wooden is that she was emotionally closed off

I always make his quest and give gifts to him but I never get this epilogue, I always get the epilogue where "he travels frequently during his reign, ruling with a 'common touch'" which should be the epilogue where he wouldn't be hardened

If she is given to the Qunari, Varric will say that he heard she escaped the Qunari two days later with the book by jumping into the ocean, but he says he does not know if this is true or not. This means that the romance dialogues of Isabela still play properly, but in certain situations the game won't acknowledge the fact that it's still active (like making the threesome with Zevran impossible, missing companion interactions, endgame outcomes, etc.)
