South of Sunset Boulevard, in the area of De Longpre Avenue (first street south of Sunset Blvd) you can also get a view without all the wires, buildings and foliage in the way. You'll have a good view of the sign while driving for another half mile between Scenic Avenue and Glen Oak Street Viewing is limited past Glen Oak Street, except at the top where you can park and climb a short hill to get a great view of the Hollywood Sign, or hike to Mulholland Highway to get really close
