Sure I will give them full credit for story mode which is a few hours of really well done exposition of the characters but other than that everything else is akin to crappy free to play iphone app games, Test your might towers, Star labs being big examples. Neatherealm have clearly been making the DLC during the development of the game but until now they have had a free pass just because its not on the disc, as if the delivery method somehow makes a company good or bad

This rating doesn't have anything to do with the story or game play (or other 'reviewed' content) but the actual integrity of the functionality of the game and reviews often don't mention bugs and brokenness. Would games like Battlefield 4 or Assassins Creed Unity have launched if they were not given a quality award at all, let alone bronze or silver? It would be real incentive for publishers to stop releasing broken and unfinished products, heck they may even try harder and deliver BETTER games in the hopes of reaching a 'gold' quality award! It would also be a reassurance for consumers that they are buying something that works
What does NRS lose by my not using the free mobile app which has no ads to unlock free costumes for a game I paid full-price for already (on whom the free advertising on the mobile app is wasted)? Nothing. However, it looks as though someone figured out an exploit that bypasses playing the mobile app and unlocks the mobile costumes on consoles with minimal effort

I'd argue MKX has a much easier to learn combo system than SF4 and many other fighting games, and this allows people new to fighting games to focus on the mind games and psychology, which to me is the best part - At the moment, it seems quite well balanced. I mean yeah, he's there on the disc, but he's there as an unplayable boss character, and that's really no different to most other games in the MK series...the boss characters are usually not selectable (compilations like MK Trilogy and MK Armageddon being the notable exceptions)
