I made a pink banana loaf cake today, cut pink hearts from it then rebaked them in a plain-coloured banana loaf and it has turned out beautifully! I chose banana for the moistness, and it worked! I can email you a pic if youre interested. Make sure your batter reaches roughly the half way mark of the cupcake, high enough to support the heart, but remembering that the batter will rise! Remember you want the batter to rise OVER the top of your heart so add enough to achieve this
