You might try downloading Redsn0w and using the timer built into their JB process to make sure your timing is right with the button pushes to enter DFU. It gives 30 seconds to press the home button to enter DFU, and other times when i've done this, it took 4-5 seconds, now the whole 30 seconds goes, and it says that I did it wrong, and that I should consult google or other forums
